CES took home an Eagle Award for Plumbing work with Universal Orlando's Fast & Furious: Supercharged attraction.  

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC), Excellence in Construction Eagle Award ($20-$50 million) for CES’s work with Universal’s Volcano Bay Aquatics Package.

The Volcano Bay Aquatics Package required the installation of 30 miles of piping by CES.  Universal Studios’ 25-acre Volcano Bay water theme park presented enormous opportunities to excel in logistics, scheduling, manpower and scope of work activities. 

This premier Central Florida construction industry competition, established in 1988, and now in its 31st year, honors the most prestigious construction projects in Central Florida.  

CES took home a total of 7 coveted awards including a Golden Eagle for Subcontractor of the Year for work on Universal's Volcano Bay Aquatics Package.

CES performed the mechanical design build responsibilities for the renovation and redesign of the 25 existing buildings and design assist responsibilities for the new exp, inc. designed buildings.  

Each year the Central Florida Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., sponsors a special awards competition for commercial and industrial contractors to recognize the outstanding craftsmanship, planning, and coordination efforts to produce the superb construction projects being built by Central Florida ABC member firms.  

The Excellence in Construction Awards consists of two programs. The first program is designed for general contractors, who enter the entire construction project, which may consist of a single building; multiple buildings and projects, such as a resort; an interior build-out; or a renovation of an existing building.

The specialty contractors also compete for their achievements in their specific trade. The project entries they submit are judged on outstanding coordination efforts, challenges successfully overcome, project complexity, custom materials, and the quality of individual craftsmen accomplishments for each submitted project.

Each project is evaluated by a panel of judges represented by a cross-section of the industry, including local design professionals who either visit and tour each project or determine the score based on a presentation and awards entry book.
